Volunteer Opportunities Available

There are many volunteer jobs available in the State Attorney’s Office which a dedicated volunteer will find interesting, rewarding and absorbing.

Volunteers can select to work in our main office in West Palm Beach or in our satellite offices in Belle Glade, Delray Beach or Palm Beach Gardens.

The office provides the following volunteer opportunities:

• Victim Witness Coordinators
• Victim Advocates for the Family (Domestic) Violence Division
• Clerical and Data Entry

For Retired Attorneys:

• Research
• Appeals
• Trial Preparation

We Need Your Experience

We need volunteers with experience in law, law enforcement, social work and the court system. Your knowledge is an invaluable asset to our office.

Orientation and Training

The Volunteer Coordinator will go over the office practices, rules, and regulations. Your supervisor or designated staff member is responsible for planning and providing on-the-job orientation and training of your assigned tasks. Each volunteer will undergo a criminal background check before they begin volunteering at the office. As a new volunteer, you will be given a tour of the area where you will be working and introduced to your supervisor. You will be invited to participate in all State Attorney staff in-service education activities if relevant to your job.  Your participation in these programs will be counted toward your volunteer hours.
